The practice of asking a travel agent to book an airline ticket is flying out of the window. A significant number of Indians now book their tickets directly with the airline, indicating a push towards the trend that prevails in the West, said a survey.
Air ticket booking in India is increasingly becoming a supplier-direct market, as is the case in more developed travel markets. “A good 64% visit 3 to more than 5 sites while shopping for flights. Only 6% are brand loyal to one website, while another 35% shop at 1 to 2 sites,” survey.
