4G has been the must-have feature for smartphone buyers this year, so much so that every smartphone brand in the country re-tooled its strategy to offer high-speed internet even on budget models.

Here are the 10 cheapest 4G-capable smartphones you can buy in India at the moment:

1. ZTE Blade Q Lux 4G – Rs 4,299
At Rs 4,999, ZTE Blade Q Lux 4G is the cheapest 4G phone available in the market. It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) IPS display and is powered by Mediatek MTK6732M 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone comes with 1GB RAM and offers 8GB of internal storage; users who want more storage space can install microSD cards of up to 32GB.

The budget smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. Blade Qlux 4G packs 2,200mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Connectivity options include dual-sim, 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

2. Swipe Elite 2 – Rs 4,545
Swipe Elite 2, with a price tag of Rs 4,545, is the second smartphone on the list of cheapest 4G smartphones. The device sports a 4.5-inch display with 540x960p resolution and runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. The smartphone packs 8GB of built-in storage and has provision for microSD cards of up to 32GB capacity.

This Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. Apart from 4G, the dual-sim smartphone can access the internet over 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi, and can transfer data over Bluetooth and microUSB. Its 1,900mAh battery offers talk time of up to 8 hours.

3. Phicomm Clue 630 – Rs 4,890
The third smartphone on this list is Phicomm Clue 630, priced at Rs 4,890; it is also the first in this list to feature a 5-inch display (480x854p) resolution. This Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone has 8GB internal storage and 64GB microSD card support. It runs on a 1.1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM.

On the back of Phicomm Clue 630 is a 5MP camera with LED flash and a 2MP camera is placed in front. This 4G smartphone also has connectivity features like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Its 2,300mAh battery can deliver talk time of up to 7 hours.

4. Lenovo A2010 – Rs 4,999
A2010 is the cheapest 4G smartphone from the stables of Lenovo, priced at Rs 4,999. The Android 5.1 smartphone has a 4.5-inch 480x854p display and packs a 1GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6735M chipset. It has 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage and supports storage expansion up to 32GB.

Lenovo A2010 sports a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back, while a 2MP snapper is in front. Connectivity options, apart from 4G, include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It has a 2,000mAh battery and comes in black and white colours.

5. Phicomm Energy 653 – Rs 4,999
Also priced at Rs 4,999 is Phicomm’s Energy 653, which is the first smartphone in the list with an HD (720p) screen. This smartphone has a 5-inch display, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Phicomm Energy 653 has 8GB internal storage and up to 64GB microSD card support. On the back of the smartphone is an 8MP camera and LED flash, while a 2MP camera is placed in front. The smartphone has a 2,230mAh battery and comes in black colour.

6. InFocus M370 – Rs 5,299
At Rs 5,299 is the InFocus M370, which has a 5-inch HD screen, Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor. The smartphone comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB in-built storage and 64GB microSD card.

InFocus M370 has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, while the selfie camera has 2MP sensor. This dual-sim smartphone has Bluetooth 2.1 and microUSB for data transfer, while internet can be used over 2G, 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi. It has a 2,230mAh battery with talk time of up to 14 hours.

The rear camera of Panasonic T45 has 5MP sensor, while the front camera has VGA resolution, lower than that of less expensive rivals. 8. InFocus M2 4G – Rs 5,499
InFocus M2 4G, available for Rs 5,499, has a 4.2-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKar operating system. The smartphone packs the 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1GB RAM under the hood, along with 8GB of internal storage; users can expand storage up to 64GB via microSD card.

This dual-sim smartphone sports 8MP cameras on the front as well as the back. The smartphone has connectivity options like 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB and comes with a 2,010mAh battery.

9. Xiaomi Redmi 2 – Rs 5,999
Xiaomi’s budget smartphone Redmi 2 takes the penultimate spot in the list with a price tag of Rs 5,999. The smartphone has a 4.7-inch HD screen, Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7 and 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The smartphone comes with 8GB of built-in storage, microSD card support up to 32GB and 1GB of RAM.

This Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone has 8GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB.

Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G has a 5MP camera with LED flash on the back and a 2MP selfie shooter in front. It packs a 2,000mAh battery and standard connectivity options: 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0.
