Ajinkya Rahane has overtaken his skipper Virat Kohli to become India’s highest-ranked Test batsman in the latest ICC Test rankings after his twin centuries in India’s 337-run victory over South Africa in Delhi. The 27-year-old Mumbaikar jumped 14 places, claiming his career-best 12th rank to overtake Kohli, at 14th spot.

Murali Vijay, down by four places to 16th, and Cheteshwar Pujara, who slipped a position to 17th, are the other two Indians to feature among the top 20 in the world.
