Samsung has started sending invites to the Indian media for an event scheduled on 14 October where it is likely to announce the launch of the Galaxy Note 4, the company’s new flagship phablet.
The launch event is scheduled days ahead of Diwali, one of the biggest Indian festivals. It’s also the time when a large number of people shop for electronics and luxury goods. It’s not clear if the phone would go on sale on the launch day but we expect the company to make it available before Diwali which falls on October 23.
The Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, and features a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixel) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 515ppi. It weighs in at 176 grams, and is 8.5mm-thick.
