Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to launch nationwide Jail Bharo protest programme from May 28 to June 2 to demand immediate resignation of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for alleged large scale corruption in the UPA II government and its failure in all fronts.
BJP official spokesperson K. Anjaneya Reddy has called for active participation of the party cadre in the protest at every district headquarters.
He claimed credit for NDA government for creating 12 million jobs during its six-year rule as against two million jobs created during nine years of UPA rule.
“The growth rate has increased from four per cent to 8.25 per cent during NDA rule while it came down to 4.6 per cent from 8.25 in UPA regime. UPA also diluted organisations like CBI, CVC and CAG purposefully,” he alleged.
He said resignations of ministers involved in sca-ms show how much UPA II was involved in corruption and demanded that UPA government step dow-n and seek fresh mandate.
He said BJP president Rajnath Singh would add-ress a public meeting at Hyderabad on June 3 and former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy would join BJP in his presence.
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would tour the state in July and address youth in age group of 18 to 35 as part of ‘Youth for Nation’ programme, Reddy said and appealed to party men to mobilise youth in large numbers for the event.
