Chandigarh-born Gurmeet Choudhary, 28, the only finalist who was part of the show from the beginning, wooed the audiences and judges with his stylish grooves along with choreographer Shampa.
“When I came to Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I was just an actor but today, I can proudly say that I’m a good dancer too. I’d like to thank my wife Debina for her love and support. And most of all, I would like to thank all my fans and supporters who have stood by me through both the good and the bad times. I am where I am only because of them,” Gurmeet Choudhary said in a statement.
Having impressed the judges — Madhuri Dixit Nene, Karan Johar and Remo D’Souza — with his hard work and dedication, Gurmeet Choudhary walked away with prize money of Rs 40 lakh and the title of the winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
The grand finale was also graced by actress Sridevi, who had come to promote her comeback project English Vinglish.
